At Pappas Painting & Repair Inc, we believe that an excellent paint job is only as good as the prep work that goes into it. Taking the time to prepare the surface and complete any necessary repairs will ensure the final product is done correctly and lasts for as long as possible. Our team will complete any necessary repairs within the scope of our work and prep work before any paint is applied.

Interior Repair & Prep Work

Our standard prep work for interior paint jobs includes:

Removing all nails/screws & filling the holes
Protecting all flooring & non-painted areas
Removing all switch covers & outlet plates
Caulking all gaps & cracks
Repairing minor drywall issues
Taping and caulking transition lines
Removing & rehanging window coverings as necessary

Although we are not a handyman company, our teams are trained in repairs that are directly associated with painting projects. These include:

Drywall repair such as wall patching, skimming & texture patches
Wood repair & replacement

Exterior Repair & Prep Work

Our exterior prep work includes:

Pressure washing all surfaces to be painted
Securing loose boards
Scraping all loose & flaking paint
Feather-sand failed areas
Spot-prime all exposed wood surfaces
Caulking all gaps & cracks
Protecting all non-painted surfaces

A post-prep walkthrough will be conducted prior to the application of paint. Any wood replacement will be charged $80/hour plus materials.

Our exterior repair services include:

Replacing damaged or deteriorated siding & trim
Patching holes

We evaluate repairs needed on a case-by-case basis and will be upfront with you if the repairs needed on your home go outside of the scope of our work.
